Wife. Mother. Lawyer. Accidental drama addict.

I stumbled across a Korean drama while vacationing in Los Angeles in 2009, and I’ve been happily lost in dramaland ever since. During my rambles in this strange world, I discovered Rain! Dramabeans! and Army Abs! I love them all, but I did feel a void in this land that I love—the lack of a comprehensive site of recaps for classic K-dramas and movies. I don’t know about you, but one thing I’ve come to realize is that a drama is so much more satisfying when there’s a recap to read along the way and another drama addict (or two) to commiserate with.

I started this blog to begin to fill that void.  My purpose is to provide a comprehensive site to discuss classic Korean dramas and movies. I am, however, still an avid watcher of currently airing K-dramas and new movies. I am also still interested in all things Hallyu, so expect contemporary items to pop up here and there as well.

I’m not Korean, don’t speak Korean, and know there are things that will always be lost in translation for me. But, I ask that you overlook my cultural cluelessness and take me for what I am: a fan of Korean pop culture who is happy to be a part of the drama landscape however inadequately I may acquit myself in the future.

I have aspirations of joining twitter, creating a facebook page, and doing all the things the 101 articles I read about starting a blog told me I should do, but for now if you are inclined to contact me, feel free to email me at: worththedrama(at)gmail.com.

And happy drama watching!

  1. Found your blog through Mitta’s Liebster post. Wow your concept is awesome!!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a blog like this one.. Is there a way to “follow” you through wordpress? Keep up the good work ^^

    • Thanks so much Blue!

As for following the blog through WordPress, I’ll have to see how to do that. All of this is so new to me that I have to take baby steps in doing things. I will definitely let you know when I get that aspect up and running. For now, I have figured out twitter (even though after I joined I actually had to google ‘how to send out a tweet’ b/c I truly am that technologically challenged). You can follow the blog there!

  2. Thanks for your reply!! I know it’s not easy, I’m still learning a lot myself. I know I’ve found the “follow” button in the widgets. But anyway take your time and I’m really glad we’re connecting ^^
